D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release.

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

My camera is in great condition and I'd hate to spend the money to get it fixed. It seems like everything else is working except for the lens...which is a big one! It never reads "ERROR" its just that the lens will not focus. It makes a noise when it is turned on like it is trying to focus. Even when I slightly hold the shutter button it makes a strange noise trying to focus but cannot. Any ideas of what I could do? I have air dusted it, gently pulled and twisted lens, restarted and recharge ba

I am shooting with a 10mm - 22mm lens - however that should not matter. Frequently my camera cannot find a focal point and therefore i cannot active the shutter release. I am forced to switch to either Manual focus or A (Automatic. I generally have the camera set to either AV or P for standard shooting. I have an EOS Reblel (6.4 pxls) that i've used with the same (10 -22) lens and i have never run into this focusing issue. Also, I am framing pretty standard subjects like doorways etc....N

I can't seem to get my autofocus to work on my new Canon T1. The mode dial is switched to full auto, the fous mode switch is on AF, and the Image Stabilizer switch is in the "on" position. When I depress the shutter halfway, I get flash indication, some digital numbers, but no change in focus, no beeping, even though it is on and the focus confirmation light does not illuminate. I've searched through the manual to see what I am doing wrong, but can find nothing. Any help you can offer would
Hope I can help with some input to your problem. Let me suggest please that you switch the "mode" dial to "P" for program, check your ISO (I personally shoot ISO 100) and set it for a speed ISO 400 or lower. Most DSLR's use contrast to focus so a mir ... Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI Digital Camera

Hi, I have a Canon Power Shot S2 IS 5.0 megapixels that was working fine until one day I changed the memory card from 512MB to a 1GB. Now every time I turn the camera on and try to take a picture, a beeping sound and a legend on the LCD screen that reads: Memory card error. It's like something locked the shutter mechanism. I tried other memory cards with the same results. Thanks, Roger.

On the Canon G3 I have issues with the main dial on the handgrip (used for aperture shutter speed and manual focus) while in Manual mode. it will change settings only some of the time! is this usually due to dust in the area and can it be cleaned or otherwise made operational?

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Fuji finepix s1500 - difficult to get it to focus at close macro. I found that I have to have the lens at its widest angle for the camera to focus on a close subject - like at 2 cm like the manual says. If I zoom up just a bit then the focus changes and my close subject is out. Is this the way it is supposed to operate?
Yes. You won't have the same macro focussing ability at all focal lengths. But usually the important thing is that it's not how close the camera can focus, but how large the image is, so you'll often find that a longer focal length (i.e. ... Digital Cameras
Focus Problem Dear folks, I just bought a (new) Canon A75, and it doesn't seem to focus. At all. Even on manual focus, not only can I not get it to focus properly, the focus doesn't change at all. When on AF, it doesn't beep like the manual says it should, and the yellow light blinks, as it's supposed to when there's a focus issue. The focus assist light is working. Can anybody think of anything I should try? The manual is of no help. This is my first digital camera, so I'm not ruling out the po
I'm not sure on the problem, but one thing to check on the front of the A75 it also uses an IR beam to set focus. It's a little circular dot under the flash on the right side. It will light up red when in use to project the IR beam. Make sure you ... Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera

I bought a second hand d70s. it seems to have a problem. the shutter release button does not seem to do anything when pressed half way (like auto focus). I can only get autofocus to work if i program AE-L/AF-L button to AF-ON. I press the AE-L/AF-L button on the back, then press the shutter to take the shot. And if i set the AE Lock On, pressing the shutter button half way does not lock the exposure setting. so there seems to be an issue with the shutter button itself...is there an easy fi

Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.
Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

Shutter button on my digital rebel xt stopped working. I can press down far enough (halfway) to get it to focus but then it won't click all the way down and release. For several months before this final calamity, it would frequently happen that when I went to take a photo the button wouldn't engage at all and I'd have to try several times and miss the shot I wanted before I could get the shutter button to engage. T7 video A colleague of mine is interested in a new digicam. He likes to take short video sequences and was wondering if the T7 features proper optical zoom with continuous auto-focus, auto-exposure while videoing? I know the first generations of digicams only allowed digital zoom and wouldn't change focus from the point at which one started filming. Also, any general experiences of video on the T7 - how long can one film etc?

I have never had any problems with my camera, it is about 2 years old. Recently, all my pictures have turned out blurry, it seems like the camera is just not auto focusing.
