Promaster makes many different lenses. Some of their older lenses do not have the electronics to communicate with newer digital cameras, and you have to shoot in Manual mode. Could you tell us which lens you're asking about?

My Nikon D40 with Nikkor 18-55mm (owned about 15 months) had a puddle of some fluid under it today (lubricant?) I noticed a fluid around the lens when you adjust it. We took the lens off, and reattached it but is says lens is not attached. Do you think this is a camera or a lens problem? We don't have any other lenses to try on it, and if the camera is not going to work, do not want to invest any more money in it.

Hello I just purchased a .42 wide angle fisheye lens for my panasonic lumix dmc-fz8 and when i bought it on ebay it said its for either a fz7/8. When i tried to attach it today the lens adapter does not fit the thread. I was wondering if maybe the lens on the camera should be taken off? I'm not sure. And it is possible to just use the fisheye lens without the adapter? Because it fits when just put the fisheye lens but when i turn it on it says "please remove lens cap then press play" so I'm very

I just got the Nikon D3000 for Christmas, new in the box. I began to put it together, and I attached the lens and heard the click and everything. It has an error message that says "Lens not attached", when the lens OBVIOUSLY is attached. I can only "take a picture" in M mode, but there really is no picture at all. All that I can get is a dark image. Please help! Btw, I don't fully understand professional photographical terms, so please explain them thoroughly. Thank you!

Lets get you going on this camera. For the lens thing, the 18-55 Nikon lens is a good one. I'm going to\015\012 assume the lens was loaded while the camera was turned on (not a good \015\012idea). What I'm going to suggest is that you make sure the b ... Nikon D3000 Digital Camera

Broken lense my lense bought in Sept 08 broke in April 09 sent it back to Nikon, they claimed that it was impact damge (broken plastic fixings) and refused to fix it with out payment. After 3 months of arguing I said fine return it to me broken then, they are now holding the lense hostage demanding £10 payment to return it. Chap in local camera shop says it is the third one with the same problem he has seen recently and in each case Nikon have claimed impact damge and refused to fix the len

I have a Nikon D50 which I frequently interchanges lenses. My AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens has 3 plastic retention flanges attaching to the camera body, and two of these have broken off. Can this be repaired without me having to be without the lens for a long time? (Either by me or a local repair service?)

Without seeing pictures, I'd say you could TRY some plastic epoxy or some type of plastic-specific adhesive. i'm assuming you have the pieces that were broken off. otherwise, i'd say get a new lens...they are relatively reasonable used. ... Everything was working well until I now get a message that reads "no lens attached" when there is a lense on the camera. The weird thing is that I only get this message on my regular lense and my telephoto lens works fine. I even carried my camera by a local Minolta/Konic dealer and they were baff
