I have the Canon EOS 400D/ Rebel XTi digital camera. I take a lot of action pictures on sports mode. Lately, the camera started freezing in the middle of a series of shots and will read error-99. I have to shut the camera off and back on, or sometimes even reinstall the battery before I can shoot again. It had been working fine up to now - and the battery is fully charged.

I own a Canon EOS Rebel XTi. This camera is unpredictable; i.e., I never know when it will decide not to record an image. I have reset it many times to the manufacturer's default settings, and then it SOMETIMES works, but then for some reason stops recording images. I have started to always carry a second camera (a point & shoot). However I am enrolled in a number of photography classes in the new year where I need an SLR.
