Having problems with your Canon EOS Rebel T2 with 28-90 lens 35mm Film Camera ?

F-stop issues when i set the camera to the M setting on the dial, the only thing its letting me adjust is my shutter speed and ISO. I can't find a way to also adjust the aperture setting. I can do everything else, but not that. And if I switch to Av, I can't set my shutter speed.... help!

Answers :

See pages 36&37 of the manual.

If you haven't got one, you can download it here.

In M mode...

Turn the selector dial to adjust shutter speed.

Hold down the AV+/- button (top-right of rear screen) and turn selector dial to adjust aperture setting.

As for Av mode, this is perfectly normal that you cannot set the shutter speed. Av mode means that you decide on the aperture setting and the camera (not you!) decides on the correct shutter speed.

Hope this helps,

Matt.

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

Pink tinge When I shoot a picture in bright sunlight, the picture always has a pink tinge to it. I have tried putting in manual mode, and adjusting the shutter speed and the f setting but I just can't seem to to get this to stop. I have also tried to adjust the white balance. I am new at doing this and I would like any help you can give. Thank you. All of the pictures have a very distorted color. They all have a pinkish-violet color. They look awful. I tried resetting by scrolling to the 'reset

We adjusted the settings to fast shutter speeds and now get a "systen error - focus" and cannot take pictures and the motor is not pulling the lense back in when we switch it off. We can hear the motor turning but it does not appear to work. Also the front protection shutter does not close properly.

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

Shutter speed on the auto mode of my s1000 camera seems slow. how can it be increased in the auto mode? This is a Fuji camera and by the time I press the shutter button subjects have moved. I have set the camera back to the original factory settings and I can adjust the shutter speed in the manual position but in auto it seems really slow.

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,

Hi, I have a two year old Canon PowerShot SX1. Recently began to think my shutter speeds have been on the low side, based on ISO, aperture, and general lighting conditions outside. Went out and purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 just to compare. Took about 25 shots with each, same subjects each time, same settings, same position, about 15 seconds apart. Discovered that, on average, the SX130's shutter speeds were over 3 times higher than the SX1 for proper exposures. For instance, at ISO 100

Pictures a very overexposed. Inside I can shoot without a flash at 400 ISO and they come out right. Outside they turn white. Also the shutter speed won't register. I can set it at 125 or even 500 and it comes out at about 1/30 or 1/60 of a second. Lower shutter speeds are actually lower. This happened a day after I cleaned my sensor. Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting.
