Having problems with your Olympus Camedia C-3030 Zoom Digital Camera ?

What are the normal settings for night shots on oly C3030Z. Shall I use flash when I shot on nights? If I set the aperture on F2.8 and the shutter from 2 to 16 sec. I got a lot of pixels on the picture. I found out that if I have the shutter open for a very long time there are many pixels on the shot. I hope you can tell me,about the settings for night shots. I am new to this digital world, and this is my first digital camera. Is this camera not good to shot in the night?

There are ways to deal with this problem. As others have said, \015\012your camera appears to be normal. \015\012\015\012Consider using "dark frame subtraction" to successfully employ \015\012long shutter speeds. The technique involves capturing two images \015\012using the same exposure time and the same camera temperature. \015\012One of the images is your picture. The other (the "dark image") is \015\012captured with the lens cap on, or other suitable way to block all light. \015\012Then using one of the more sophisticated photo editing applications, \015\012"subtract" the "dark image" from your picture. This technique will \015\012dramatically reduce the noise, because moist of the noise is deterministic, \015\012but is highly dependent on shutter speed and on CCD temperature.\015\012Of course you can use flash at night, but only for subjects \015\012that are close enough to the camera - not for a subject such \015\012as your stjernehimmel 2 photo

Night shots Can someone tell me what My camera should be set on to take night shots. I have tried and tried to figure it out and cant. They do not come out they end up being very dark and usually blurry too. I have a Nikon D70 and love it but get very frustrated because of not being able to take night shots. My son is playing football and I wanted to take some shots off him in his game last weekend and just couldn't figure it out. Any help would be great.

Flash Error Hi there, bought this camera about 6 months ago. I'm intermittently getting a problem with the pop-up flash. It pops up fine, but the screen gives me an error telling me it hasn't and won't take any shots. Have to keep switching it off and on and hoping it will work again. Sometimes it's a couple of days before it works again. It will take shots when I switch the camera to the 'no flash' setting, so it does seem to be just the flash. The error says that the flash release is jamming,

The error 5 can mean that there is something blocking the flash from popping up. If it is up but still get the message then you need to check to see if the little black pin/stick that lets the camera know that the flash is up, is not stuck. With the ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting. All other settings are fine, but the image in my viewfinder is very blurry when I look through before taking the shot. I have altered the diopter for my eyes as I wear glasses, so that isn't the problem. Is there something I'm either doing wrong, or

Blue photos Can anyone tell me some reasons why some outdoor shots I took of snow/trees, etc. might look blueish? I took some pictures at sundown that came out fine, and ones I took about 10 minutes later look blue. I don't recall changing any settings. I also took similar shots at the same time with another digital camera and those looked fine. Is this something that's common in low light with a lot of white background? (Or is this a "user problem?")

Snow pictures tend to be blue due to the blue spectrum being scattered and reflected from the snow (similar to why the sky is blue). Plus just after sunset, you're going to get a cooler color temperature (blue cast).\015\012\015\012However, instead o ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

I have a Panasonic Lumix T27 and my photos at night parties and concerts always turn out dark and terrible. Can you please tell me the correct settings to rectify this problem and for fast taking shutter speeds. I want the colour and photos at concerts to be perfect which so far is terrible. Thanks

At night and at concerts, the light level is low. If your camera is on auto, it will try to fire the flash. It's only effective for about 8 feet. Anything farther away than that will be dark. In these instances, it's best to turn off the flash, set t ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Digital Camera

I often miss a shot because there seems to be a delay when I press the shutter button on my Fuji FinePix A350 digital camera. Is there a setting I can change to speed up the process?

Blurry pictures Using a point and shoot digital camera, it was set on night mode by mistake. Pictures turned out blurry. The snapshots were taken inside at night using flash in the camera. Probably because in night mode, camera was setting depth of field wrong. So using flash and set in night mode was the problem.
